Our story
Four kids, one very busy Nana
A 7-year-old, a 3-year-old, and one-year-old twins. Which means a great deal of practice with mealtimes.
We have four kids: a 7-year-old, a 3-year-old, and one-year-old twins. Between them we went through a great many bibs, and none of them quite did what we needed.
When the twins came along, we went looking again. We wanted something that was actually functional and actually made from soft, natural cotton — gentle enough for all-day dribbles, but with a real food catcher for the end of a meal. We couldn't find it. Bibs either soaked all the way through to the clothes underneath, or they were plastic.
So the twins' Nana put both in one bib. She chose a soft 100% cotton fabric for the outside and a waterproof layer for the inside, cut each bib, and stitched it by hand — then added a bottom that folds up and buttons into a pocket, so one bib carries a child from dribbles to dinner.
That combination — a problem we couldn't buy our way out of, and a Nana who loves making things for her grandkids — is how Nana Bibs began.
